Finances Matter!
People who wish to make a tax-deductible donation to the organization may make it to
the Oklahoma County Master Gardener Association.
Ray Ridlen Scholarship
In honor of Ray Ridlen, who retired 30 years after serving as the Oklahoma County Educator,
the membership established a scholarship to be awarded annually to a horticulture student at
OSU-OKC. The application and selection process will be coordinated by the Horticulture
Educator and the President. Funding is provided by 10% of the net Master Gardener plant sales
as well as 10% of the net profit of merchandise sales. The scholarship amount can vary (typically
$500 to $1000 but the minimum balance will never drop below $700.




All memorials go into the memorial fund. No personal property gifts are accepted.
Bequests specifically designated shall be allocated by the Executive Board in keeping
with the interests of the donor and shall be reported to the membership via treasurer
report. Proceeds from any monetary gifts not specifically designated are to be allocated
at the judgment of the Executive Board.
